  I'm running a SQL 6.5 server with SP5a. We are getting the message "NO READ AHEAD SLOTS AVAILABLE. RUN SP_CONFIGURE TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF SLOTS". Does anyone know what this message means and/or what might be causing it? All I've been able to find in MicroSoft's documentation is that the read ahead slots configuration parameter should never have to be adjusted. Does anyone have any guidelines on how to correctly set this configuration paramter?
