We have sql 2000 production machine
and on Enterprise Manager when you open it and click all tasks to restore a database it just look up and don't do nothing, I can't restore.....any ideas ?????

I'd suggest that you run profiler and see if EM is sending anything to SQL Server. For restore information, SQL has to query the msdb database. There you could see if it is even making it that far. Ony my system, it does take a bit of time (10 seconds or so) to respond back with the restore information. Perhaps you are getting a timeout or some other connectivity related problem. Does everything else work in EM?

May be this:
Check the second tab after selecting the database backup and see if the database related details are available or not. If not then database backup has problem
