View History for jobs

    We have jobs setup on our SQL Server that have been there for a while.

    However, some have history up the wazoo, while other's that recently ran have NO job history. Is there an option you set when creating/modifying the jobs?

    Also, we don't want to clean out all the job history, but prune it to 60 days or something. Is there a proc that helps with that or a setting?

    There are a couple of properties in SQL Server Agent you can modify to keep more history. If you right click on SQL Server Agent, choose properties .... choose Job Systems ... you will see 2 properties you can change ... "Maximum Job History Job Size" and "Maximum Job History Rows Per Job". Hope this helps.
