  I am planning to switch node between two servers which have log shipping setup to transfer and apply logs every 15 minutes. I wonder if someone could help me with the step by step process to bring the spare server out as active node with losing any transaction log... Thank you.

  How can I make sure all logs are applied and no new transactions are accuring? How much downtime would it require?
