I cannot open the sql mail properties
I do have MS Outlook set up sa the default mail
Im running Oulook 2000
I do have the Stored Proc xp_get_mail_profile
Keep getting this error:
Cannot show requested dialog
If a stored procedure could not be found, SQL mail may not be installed in the instance
xp_get_mapi_profile: Either there is no default mailclient or the current mailclient cannot fullfill the messaging reques. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client.
(Microsoft SQL Server, Error: 7930)

If I use xp_startmail
get the following error:
Msg 17930, Level 16, State 1, Line 0
xp_startmail: Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client.

try using database mail instead of sql mail. database mail is easy to use ad configure.
