Job Access by Multiple Users

  • I have a job setup within a server thats running SQL Server 2000 Enterprise

Edition with all the current service packs.

The job in SQL Agent services two different user groups that want to be able

to submit the job on demand or review the jobs status.

Both SQL authentication and windows authentication are enabled on the server.

I'm looking for a way where both domain or both individual SQL ID's can get

in and do what they need to do with the job but it appears the job can only

have one owner. The other use can't see it.

When I create a windows group containing those individual domain ID's, the

job doesn't appear to want to recognize the group ID.

Tried a single purpose login SQL ID for them and too often confused them and

gave rise to other security and auditing issues.

Any ideas on how to handle or what I might be missing?

    thks
