Hi !!
I am planning to take the MCDBA Certification and i would appreciate if any one can help me out as to how to proceed.
1. How much does the Exam 70-228 cost?
2. Whats the Exam pattern? How many questions do we need to answer and whats the time limit?
3. Please suggest any material or books.
Please suggest me with all the necessary information.

Are you in the US? I think pricing is different outside, but it should be $125 in the US.
The exam is multiple choice questions. Not sure about the exact format because it's been a number of years, but I think it's like 50 questions.
3. Any of the study book for the exam should be ok, but you should have experience with the product in the areas covered on the MS site for the exam.

Thanks Steve for the information.
I am in US right now. I have 2 yrs of experience as a SQL Server DBA/ Developer. So i was thinking that its the right time to start taking the cerification exams.

According to your post, 228 is for MS sQL 2000. Microsoft will not support SQL 2000 in 2008. So it seem no point to take the test.

Thanks for letting me know. Can you please let me know as to where i can find that information saying that Microsoft will not support SQL Server 2000 in 2008
