Permissions to see processes

    What privil;ees are needed to run a sp_who2 command and see all connections to the database. Currently with datareader and datawriter rights i could see only my session and not all processes that are running. do we  need sa rights for this. TIA

    you need dbo privilege

    I am not sure if its something to with 2005 version but i have an id with dbo privileges but still if i use that id to check all processes running on a server i am not able to see anything except my logged in session. any thoughts on why this is happening.
