Recommend a good SQL 2005 Book?

    I'm after recommendations on a book that will let me learn basic SQL 2005 administration.

    I'm a sysadmin (don't quite need a dummies guide) who will have to help setup, configure, and (importantly) maintain a new SQL 2005 box as our current dba is leaving the department (we're a small company so don't have a dedicated dba, in reality it's a guy who's done a course and has spent some time with SQL so knows the most about it).

    I guess what I want is something that will teach me the basics from a sysadmin point of view i.e. best practice, backup/restore and security/permissions vs. wanting to learn all the in's and out's of SQL as a language.

    I usually trust books from SAMS like Microsoft SQL Server Unleashed -in this case.

    just my personal choice/opinion.

    BOL is also excellent source!!! just go through chapter vise i.e. Topic wise. It will give indepth knowledge.

    The SQL 2005 bible is one the best books out there in my opinion.

    i have books from Wrox which are fantastic

    Professional SQL 2005 programming

    Professional SQL2005 performance tuning

    I recommend these. They go into a lot of detail about the database engine (datafiles, logfiles, B-Tree indexes, etc)
