how to reduce the size of the mdf file

    Dear All,

    I have the sql log database it size is 30gb in size , I want to reduce the size of the database because

    i dont have the space in disk.

    I already try by using dbcc dbreindex it is not reducing ,

    please help me on this topic

    how about shrinking the file ??

    If you do have free sapce in the datafile than you can shrink file else you have to purge some of the data with concent with the client.
