sqlserver 2005 installation

    Hi i would like to know

    whch s/w to install first

    1 . visual studio 2003

    or

    2.sqlserver 2005

    is there any thing like first we need to install visual studio then sqlserver s/w

    pls clarify

    2. Install SQL Server 2005

    Installing Visual Studio is not a pre-requisite for Sql Server 2005.

    but my question is not related to prerequisites

    two separarte s/w visual studio 2003/5(.net) and sqlserver 2000/5

    wether we need to install first Visual studio then Sqlserver or viceversa

    is there any sequence to for installation .

    you can deploy in any sequence, depending on the version of SQL Server you are going to install.

    If you are going to use the SQL Server 2005 Express Edition, I think while installing VS2005, you have an option to install it along with VS.

    However, if you are going to use any other version of SQL Server, I recommend that, Uncheck the option while you will be prompted to install SQL Server express edition during your VS setup. Then you can install SQL Server 2005.

    visual studio 2003 and visual studio 2005 should be able to live on the same machine
