  Q. when connecting to integration Services, I do not get prompted for the authentication mode, instead it takes the Windows Authentication is this correct? if so how can I have it prompt for the authentication mode.

  Because it runs as a service, not part of a SQL Server instance, you can only connect to it with Windows authentication.
