Error Installing SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edtn.

    Hello Team

    Can someone please suggest, how is going wrong in installing 'SQL Server 2005' Enterprise Edtn. Getting the below error while at the end of installation of SQL Server. The error msg appears while it tries to start the SQL Services.

    Note: The same error is coming while configuring the SQL Server in both Local Account also with a specific service account.

    Pls suggest..

    The SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service failed to start due to the following error:

    The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.

    Description:

    Timeout (90000 milliseconds) waiting for the SQL Server (MSSQLSERVER) service to connect.)

    Hi Sourav,

    Try to start the SQL Server Engine and service accounts by making them local admin.

    Make sure whatever account you set the services for SQL and SQL Agent are in the "Administrators" group of the local server. You might be using a domain account that has little to no rights as well as no "Log in as service" rights.

    Thanks Guys, for all your suggestion.

    However, what are the best points u had mentioned, I followed everything before-hand itself. No Luck so far.

    OS installed to the server: Windows Server 2003 SP2.

    Any further recommendations...?
