I am upgrading an old system and need to install MSDE release A. I went to microsoft site but their link to the download is broken. It looks like they totally took i tout like it never existed. Anyone know where I can get a copy?
I would not say you need it because you can move the databases and objects but the places to find one is VS2003 professional it comes with MSDE because it comes bundled.
The other option is to look for SQL Server 2000 developer it is in most MSDN accounts, because MSDE is SQL Server 2000 without Enterprise Manager.
