Number of people with MCITP Cert?

  • Hi,

I have a web url that used to give a summary of how many people had MS Certs i.e. how many people had MCTS SQL Server 2005 MCIPT SQL Sserver 2005 BI etc.

    This was the link tp://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/certification/cert-overview.aspx#tab5

But it does not appear to have the info anymore.

    Anyone know the web url?

  • Hi There

I am also trying to find out the Statistics about MCITP in business Intelligence but could not find any where. I sent an email to Microsoft help line and they replied that they are not providing this information any more; they did not give any reason for this

If you find this information please update me as well.

    Many thanks

  • Here is the Microsoft answer:

    http://borntolearn.mslearn.net/forums/cc/f/24/p/19545/50345.aspx#50345

We took down the certification numbers page due to some concerns. At this time, there are no plans on replacing this page.

  • unfortunatly not the answer I was hoping for, but thank you anyway.

That's disgraceful, it makes a mockery of people who do things the right way to better themselves. It's that kind of attitude that questions everyone's integrity and gave raise to the phrase "Paper DBA"

    Hope this helps,

  • @ richard

After studying also, we need to see what kind of questions come in the exam

Where from can we see that??

    Dumps are good for that..

  • You do not need to see the questions from the exam. That's what a dump is. The exam guidelines tell you what you need to know. Those items that are listed for the exam are the things you should understand. Prep materials will get you focused on how to interpret those, but beyond that, if you know how SQL Server works, you'll be fine on the exam.

Dumps are not legal for these exams, and posting that you used dumps, or posting dumps, is a reason for Microsoft to remove your certification. It's also immoral. You should earn your own certification, not ask someone else to give you the questions so you can be sure to pass.

There were about 150,000 MCDBAs in the 2001-2002 time frame. I would guess there are many more MCITPros now.

  • I understand the need to test yourself at the same level, but you can buy prep tests which are not the same as brain dumps, yes this could prove to be expensive and prohibitive to a number of candidates. Another alternative is to find yourself a mentor who has been through the process and ask him/her to ask you a few questions at that level if they can afford the time.

I'm sure they'll be a number of people on here who would be willing to help you in this way, but as Steve said you can be blackballed by Microsoft for talking about braindumps. They will strip your certifications and stop you from sitting exams if they suspect you of using them.

    Hope this helps,
    Rich

  • @ steve

So, it means that microsoft has selected questions only for the certification.

Dont they change the questions or have different sets of questions..??

  • There are a pool of questions that are rotated, I know a couple of the people that wrote questions for them (not that they'd tell me what they were).

    Hope this helps,
