Trace flag T1118

    Trace Flag T1118 is supposed to reduce contention for TEMPDB.

    There is virtually no information on what the implications of setting this flag is or whether there are any downsides.

    Does anyone have any more information on this flag?

    If the flag is so great why isn't it a default setting?

    So basically small objects, those under 64Kb will inflate and waste up to 7/8 of their storage.
