Is it possible to export to Word?

    I know it is not an option to export to Word in the picklist, but I wonder if anyone has a way to do this anyway. I tried exporting to HTML and then opening that in Word, which actually looked pretty good, only Word automatically inserted a header (with the report title) and a footer (with the filename and path) onto the page which forced a one-page report onto two pages.

    If you are using SQL2000 there are stored procedures that let you use ActiveX controls.

    sp_oaCreate etc.

    You can instantiate a copy of word then call methods from the Word object model.

    I played with this ages ago but rejected it because the thought of sticking MS Office on a production server gave the infrastructure guys the screaming heebie jeebies.

    Thanks for getting back to me - I've been swamped and haven't had time to investigate this further, but I will post again when I have more.
