Hi everyone. I have a client laptop running SSMS to access SQL 2005 instances on our intranet. The odd thing about this client is there is no expansion 'plus' sign next to the Linked Servers. It doesn't matter what user logs into this client, the results are the same... no expansion of the linked servers. The same users can log into a different client and expand the linked server and see the remote catalogs. The clients have identical OS and service packs. Any ideas?

Thanks for responding GSquared. On the server box...yes. On the clients no. But the user can log into a different client and access catalogs thru the linked servers. BTW, is there a client browser service that should be running on the clients?

Verify the version of the client on that laptop and compare to the version on the other clients.
