Field lengths & importing ASCII files

    When I import an ASCII-text file through DTS I get all the field lengths to be 8000 characters, can this be changed to say 255? Or an even better solution would be to make the field lengths just large enough so nothing is trucated.

    There is a DTS section under data warehousing. You will probably receive a better response if you post your questions there instead of in certification.
