Database info, what´s wrong ?!

hi people...
you all know that database info on the enterprise manager, right ?
you click (left side) on the db and on the right side appears all the db info.. size, allocated space, everything..
but... on the server machine it doesn´t appear, just that:
"DBNAME
An error occurred while trying to access the database information"
*DBNAME = my (any) database name
how can i fix that ?
on another computer, when someone connects on the server and check the db, it appears fine...
but.. another error, theres only one db with error, but it´s another one, do you know that IE error when theres some script error, it shows one error screen asking if you want to continue on the page (YES/NO).. i click yes and nothing appears... all blank... how can i fix that ?
all the others (on another computer, not server) appears fine.
i´m the admin and i´m using SQL Server 7.0

I think there is some problem with IE itself. Is that the only database, you are facing problem with or any other database. If you are getting for all databases, then install the latest IE and try again.

well, we are all using IE 6.0.
but, it was working on wednesday, yesterday and today, nothing.

ARe you able it accessible it from QA. Try refreshing or stopping and restarting SQL Server.

Which server pack of SQL Server do you have?

i just updated to SP4 (version 7.00.1063)
and the problem persist.

I don't think its a SQL Server (as in database engine) problem, but rather an Enterprise Manager problem. I would try re-installing the client tools.

well, i dont know... we installed the same thing on 3 computers... one i created as the server with the DBS....
two computers can check the info.. only mine (the server one) can´t see, it has the problem

Its almost certainly a problem with Enterprise Manager. I've seen it more than once, and reinstalling Enterprise Manager (the client tools) fixes the problem. Can't guarantee it, but I'd be willing to bet! Its not IE. Enterprise Manager uses the same type scripts in the Task Pad view, so you can get the same type errors that you see in IE. Reinstall the client tools on your server and I think your problems will be solved. It can't hurt anything. Just pay attention to the install, and be sure to click "Client Tools Only" so that you don't overwrite the database engine.
If you don't want to reinstall the client tools, simply manage the server from a different machine. The database engine doesn't need the client tools to function properly.

I seen this problem too often. The easiest workaround is to right-click on the database (in the left hand screen), goto the view option and select a view that is different to the you are using at present (e.g. Detail).
Now do the same but select the Taskpad view.
You should be able to see everything in the task pad view correctly now.
Don't ask me what is causing the error - I just know how to fix it.

happy... humm.. nothing, tried all different one.. .. and nothing..
people, the problem is that i don´t have the installation program with me.. gonna need to ask the network adm about it.. it will be difficult.. but gonna try.
any other way to fix it like the one from happy ?
