Permissions

    If I want to give permissions to some 50 users so that they can view my report through application, do I need to add all of them at the 'Report Properties' and 'New Role Assignment'. or Is there any easy way to do that instead of adding each n every user.

  • I had a similar problem.  What I done was created a domain group, added the users to that group and then added that group in as a new role.

  • Domain groups are by far the best way to manage your memberships.  The nice thing about it is that when you get a new person, just add them to the appropriate groups - which your IT Team is probably already doing - and they have access.  Likewise when they leave, deleting them from the group revokes any permissions they might have had.  Even if you only have one or two people who need access a domain group solution is the best.
