flat file data source - stripping the header

  I am new to ssis - never used dts - and have the following task:

  Load a flat file with a header row that 512 characters long.  there is no end of row marker - I just have to count the number of characters.  There is no option to do this in the import wizard, and I'm not really sure how to begin this.  Help?

  There is a option called First rows contained the coloumn name in the SISS import export wizard.
