deleted job still appears on application event log

    Deleted a job from the master server,deleted the job from a local server msdb..sysjobs,defected from the master server but the job still appears on the application log as failed .The job is not found on sysjobs on either server.

    Not sure where to look on this one

    Do you means the Windows Application Event log?  If so, that is what I would expect.

    The Application Event log is not tied to SQL Server, so deleteing a job should not change the Application Event log/

    Not sure you understood me.The job still appears as if it runs and the errors are found in the application log .Not old logs of the job that ran
