Looking for Feedback on Running PeopleSoft On SQL 2005 64 bit

We are in the final steps of obtaining approval of moving our PeopleSoft Finance databases to SQL Server 2005. We are planning to move to 64 bit, but one question raised by our Directors was if there are other PeopleSoft customers running on SQL 2005 64 bit. If you are running 64 bit, we would appreciate to hear your feedback on it, both good and bad. Thanks.

There is a 3 Terabytes a year implementation I know using PeopleSoft for global Human Resources operation for a big oil company. I was in a 64bits class with the consultant in charge and he was working with HP for the hardware. Hope this helps.

Are you looking at only running the database portion of PeopleSoft on a 64-bit server? We run PeopleSoft Financials and HR here (Finance is at 8.9, and HR is on 8.8 upgrading to 9.0 (which requires SQL Server 2005 for the Database Backend)). We are going to move both Finance and HR to SQL Server 2005 on our existing 32 bit hardware, but are looking at server consolidation as well which could mean moving to 64 bit hardware.
Talking to our PeopleSoft Group, you should be okay if only SQL Server 2005 is running 64 bit. You may still need to run Process Scheduler, Web Logic, and Tuxedo on 32 bit hardware. Wwe haven't found anything on Customer Connect yet that indicates that the other pieces are validated for running on 64 bit hardware.
