Tras Replication Retry and timeout

    I have a case where I have a single push subscription.

    I need to know ASAP if transactions cannot be written to the destination.

    I THINK what I'm asking is how to make it go to status retry after 1 second.

    I tried changing the Agent Profile 'Timeout" value from 1800 to 1. No dice.

    This is an aspect of replication that I'm a little grey on.

    Help!

    First off, you can use the replication monitor to see the status of ur transaction.

    Where as you want to view it's status after 1 sec, all you have to do is to adjust the refresh interval of the replication monitor Publishers setting by highlighting the publishing server, select the action menu option, then publisher setting.

    That only works if there's a person, sitting there, watching the replication monitor, 24x7.

    I need it to retry after 1 second , so that I can get the status of retry and allow the application to disable all processing. (Internal requirement)

    One second is too short of a latency. The best you could do is to reduce the "ppoling interval" to one second but that will be "pushing" it ...
