Does anyone know where I can find documentation for this? We are looking at consolidating and I can see that we will run out of drive letters before we run out of instances. Mounted Volumes may help avoid that.

SQL Server 2000 support it. Why wouldn't 2005?

Thanks - I did find that SQL 2000 supports it in a non-clustered environment (which I wasn't aware of) and 2005 adds clusters.
