Hi,
When Files and Filegroups getting enable for me in Backup Component Section while taking Backup of a Database. Usually it is in Database State.
Files and Filegroups showing disable for me.

If I understand your question correctly I suspect that the options for file and filegroup backups are disabled because the database in question has only a single file and filegroup - thus making the options not relevant.
Has the Db got multiple files?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your reply. If i change the Recovery Mode of a Database from SIMPLE to FULL then File and Filegroup getting enabled for me even though i have only one file group in my database.
I did the same then i am getting this now. Please reply to me if i am in wrong perceptive. 🙂
But i tested this with more than one file group say 4. Still i am not getting this option enabled. 🙂

That makes sense - one of the requirments of file./filegroup backups is the availability of the transaction logs to ensure the db is restored to a consistentstae. Thus iof you are in simple mode, the gui is simply diabling the file/filegroup options.
