Interrogate Installed instances on Network

  • Does anyone know how I can interrogate the network to find out how what SQL Server 2005 Reporting services instances there are installed?

I use OSQL -L to fien the SQL Server Instances, but I need to to find Reporting Services.

    Any help, much appreciated.

  • You should be able to use Windows Management Instrumentation to find what servers have it installed and possibly this will give the name of the instance since it would be included in the service name? SSIS also has some WMI tasks that could capture this info...
