how to change the name of the source that the reports (rdl) reference?

    our SSRS server is migrated with a new server name.

    the existing Shared Data Sources is Datasource1 which has to be kept.

    Using the Design tab, i've created a new datasource and able to has the Datasets reference that new datasource, myDS02.

    the problem is the report in Layout still reference the old datasource, Datasource1.

    i've tried changing the report to display code and replace all occurrence of "Datasource1" to myDS02.

    But, i've got error occured during local report processing. the definition of the report '/myRpt' is invalid. More than one data source in the report has the name "myDS02'. Data source names must be unique within a report.

    How to have the rdl to use the new rds?

    right click on the table, select properties, then change the dataset name to the desired dataset.

    Just changing in the dl won't help. Re-upload your rdls to new eport server and go to poperties and reassign the new data source. since SSRs, keeps repot data in DB just changing in DL won't work.
