Registering a server and connecting toa server

    What are differences between connecting to a server instance and registering a server. Do we get some additional capabilities by registering a server?

    The purpose of Register / Connect are the same, the only advantage of Registering over Connect is that You can replace the registered server name with a new name and give optional server description. You can also create a new group under which it will be available.
