Problem with Pagebreak and Visibility in SSRS 2005

  • Hi All,

I'm facing the above mentioned issue in SSRS.

I have two set of tables (first set has 3 tables and the second set has 2 tables).

The visibility is to be controlled between these two sets depending on one parameter say Type (can have values TypeOne , TypeTwo) . If I select TypeOne first set of tables (3 tables ) should display and when I select TypeTwo second Set of tables (2 tables) should display.

Also in both cases there should be page break, so that each table will be in different pages.

Can some one help me for this..?

I have tried by placing the tables inside the rectangle but didn't work!!!

    Thanks,

    MC

  • Right click on the table, go to properties, check "Insert a page break after this table"

  • Hi Thanks for reply....

Im not sure whether you got the complete understanding of the issue.....

If you tried the issue I mentioned you might end up saying that "Visibility and Page break wont work together in SSRS 2005....!!!!!"

If anybody is there to say "NO It will...." please let me know , always welcome....

  • Edit: hold let me try exactly what you are doing.

  • your right, the visibility doesn't work with page breaks for some reason. The best I could do was putting a list box on the report in between tables and make that apply a page break. However, you have the problem in your case when the user selects to see only the two tables there will be an empty last page.

    submit it to https://connect.microsoft.com/default.aspx

it might get fixed when they do the BI update in January, but i'm not sure they are are updating 2005.
