SQL Server previous versions

  • Hi,

Can anyone provide me links for downloading sql server 6.5 and 7.0 evaluation version. I did not work on those versions but our new client is using only 6.5 and 7.0 still.

  • You'll be lucky Chandra! My Technet subscription shows that I can download 2000, 2005 & 2008. I've not seen any links to SQL 6.5 & 7 for years... and even if I did would query their authenticity/legality if they were not Microsoft URL's.

  • I have no idea if you can actually download them versions anymore.

  • In order to download these versions of SQL Server you need to have a MSDN subscription. If so you will find them under the 'Developer Downloads' section in the 'Servers' subsection. Please keep licensing implications in mind when dowloading these products.:-)

    See http://msdn.microsoft.com/

  • I would ask the client for them. Seeing how they are ANCIENT versions it is not something they should expect you to just have lying around.. Since they are using it, they should have it lying around if for disaster recovery purposes only..
