Hi all,
Does anyone know if IntelliSense works on SQL Server 2005? My company would like to install 2008's management tools to utilize this functionality, but we're unsure if it will even work.
Thank you!

Nope, just with 2008 installs. The tools work great though and there are some benefits, like recommended indexes when looking at execution plans and you actually get flagged when there are missing statistics again. 😉 So, definitely worth the install.

Management Studio won't do that for 2005 (even Management Studio 2008). You have to get a third party product for that, like the ones from RedGate and ApexSQL.
