The database is not accessible

  • Hi Guys,

    Can you help please.

We have a database in sql server which we are no longer able to run query on.

When I click on it, it saying that "The database is not accessible" even when I', logged in using sa login.

I ran the query "select * from sysdatabases" and I could see that database listed however when I ran sp_helpdb, that database is not listed in the result.

    Can anyone assist please.

    Regards,

    Sun

  • Can you see the database listed in the enterprise manager, if so is there anything written in the braces such as offline or some thing, check with the properties and the file locations of the database , are they in the specified location or not,

    try ur luck

  • If you query sys.databases, what's the state_desc of the DB that you cannot access?
