Database Restore to R2

    Hi All,

    I take backup from SQL server 2008 R2 and try to restore it on my home machine having SQL server 2008...

    but it fails , giving me error message , cant be restore on this version of SQL server !!!!

    Cant we restore SQL server 2008 R2 database on SQL server 2008 or earlier like 2005 or 2000 !!

    Kindly Confirm

    No. You cannot restore down-version, never have been able to.
