Create DB Maintenance Plan Error

  • I have recently installed SQL Server 2008 R2 (10.50.1600)

    When i clicked to create new DB Maintenance Plan, SSMT threw the following error message

    TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

    The connection string format is not valid. It must consist of one or more components of the form X=Y, separated by semicolons. This error occurs when a connection string with zero components is set on database connection manager.

    It doesn't allow me to create the maintenance plan. i can query the databases restored on this server in SSMT. I haven't seen this error message before.

    Any help is appreciated.

  • Do u have any other maintenance plan alreadyu on ur server??

    Have u getting any error while opening the BIDS??
