Visual Studio 2008 questions

  • I'm trying to get used to the change from VS 2005 to VS2008. My biggest hurdle is designing reports in SSRS in design view.

Can I not COPY columns anymore in design view like I could in the VS2005 GUI?

And if I have to format my columns, I have to do them ONE AT A TIME????? Is there a way to format multiple cells at a time?

And I can't drag columns around in design view (to rearrange columns when I need to) ??

Any help would be appreciated. Or if this has been discussed, please direct me to the right place.

    Thank you.

    Joel

  • Hi Joel,

I think dragging columns or copy pasting columns to different location works... Formatting your columns together depends on the kind of formatting you wish to do... Most of it didn't work for me though...

  • I format multiple cells at one time, all the time. Hi-lite all the cells you want to format the same, then go to the properties tab (not the text box dialog) and enter all your desired formatting.
