  Hello Experts,

  When i was removing the replication in one of the instance(sql server 2008 sp1),the following error is occured.

  Database distribution does not exist. Make sure that the name is entered correctly.(Microsoft SQL Error:911)

  Process:

  right click on the replication-->generate sql script-->drop/disable-->new query window

  Please help in this.

  Does this database exist under system databases? Is this server a distributor?

  The distribution database is the default name of the transient system data used in replication and will only exist on the distributor.
