Is there any difference between MSBI and SSAS?

Yes, SSAS is a component of MSBI, which usually utilizes SSRS and SSIS and sometimes MOSS. Loosely defined, MSBI doesn't even need to include SSAS. It can be argued that most MSBI is done solely in MS Excel.

Why MSBI is dependedent on Excel?
MSBI is not dependent on any particular tool. It just refers to using MS products to do business intelligence. Excel qualifies as a MS product and pivot tables qualify as rudimentary BI, so using Excel pivot tables qualifies as MSBI in a very loose interpretation of that term.
