I clicked on New Query then a connection window opens and ask to connect

    I am working on ssms and I clicked on New Query then a connection window opens and ask to connect.

    Question:

    If I have already logged in and working on SSMS why this happens?

    If the session of that particular user is killed or ended it might ask you to reopen the session. That time it will popup the window.

    Or It might be SQL Server Services are restarted and then session get disconnected.
