month category on micro chart

  Hi

  I am creating a (very) basic chart just so i can have a play with ssrs. It's a sales comparison for a customer across last/this year.

  I want to set the chart up as a micro chart for dashboard so it's very small and therefore i can't fit the month names inot the category so i've created an extra column in my data which is the month letter.

  J F M A M J J A S O N D

  However when i drop this field into the category field of my chart it group the matching entries so i end up with:

  J F M A S O N D

  can this be avoided?

  Leave the Date in the dataset as well as your Letter, and Group by The date, and use the Letter for your headers.
