A subsidiary of my company has been sold, need advice on pre-emptive tasks before Domain1 is removed from trusted Domain2.

  • My company currently has two very different lines of business, each on different domains. In the coming month, Domain1 will no longer be a trusted domain over to Domain2. I know there are objects owned by Domain1\user on Domain2 and vice versa. Can anyone give me advice for a checklist on items that need to be completed on the sql servers before the domain trust breaks?

  • My short list, which is probably incomplete as I've never done this. I've gone the other way.

Look in these areas, for dependencies. You should be able to query DMVs for the info on all instances. Look for the domain1 name.
