70-461- Querying SQL Server 2012

  • Hi All,

I have booked an exam. There are loads of training material available but I am a student and I have a year's worth of experience with T-SQL but the content is so hard. Is there any advice you guys can provide me with to help me with my preparation?

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Yeah, don't spend your money getting certified when you don't have any experience to back it up. Certification is highly unlikely to get you a job. You'd be better off spending the money to purchase a developers license of SQL Server and then spend time learning. Sure, you can use the study guides of the certifications as a mechanism for what to learn, but the certification itself isn't worth they money.

  • I agree with Grant Fritchey.... I spent countess hours studying to pass the exams; only to find that the questions were not related to a live interview. My lack of knowledge concerning real world SQL Server experience was only brought to the surface. I would suggest downloading the demo DB's and clocking some hours in SQL Server.
