Data Migration Assistant Tool - overwrite existing database/file option

    Hi,

    We have use the DMAT to migrate our database from existing production 2008 R2 SE to a new test system on 2017 SE.

    We did a test on few database. Now we want to perform the task again, but we ware looking for the options to over the existing database and the data and log files.

    Is there anyway we can change the option in dma.exe.config to do that?

    What is the parameter and value to specify?

    no option to define it as far as I can see.

    But while I would use DMAT to assess issues with migrating/upgrading a database, I would then use  dbatools to do the migration itself where all these settings can be supplied and you could easily script it.
