Add new SQL Database to App_Data folder Problem

  I am a newbie to ASP & Web development. I have SQL 2005 Standard Edition as well as SQL Express 2005 installed on my machine. I am using web development training material from learnVisualStudio.net using Visual Web Developer 2005. Sample code are provided and on using these sample code I experience problems opening the databases as well as I am with a test web application - on adding a new SQL Database Item to the App_Data folder, I get the following error:

  "Connections to SQL Server files (*.mdf) require SQL Server Express 2005 to function properly....."

  I have searched for an explanation but could not find any satisfactory answer. I hav came accros this link (http://www.velocityreviews.com/forums/t300484-aspnetdbmdf-when-no-sqlexpress-only-sql-server-2005.html), but that does not explain how to overcome this problem.

  Any help will be appreciated.

  Does your sql server express work only with the system databases. From my preception it will not be working check and let me know.
