I have never tried to do this before so I'm hoping someone can tell me if its as easy as changing the properties of the server and a reg hack or if its more involved and what the ramifications are of changing back to Windows Authentication mode.
Thanks

It should be as simple as changing the setting at the instance level. Make sure that you have Windows Accounts that are in the sysadmin group prior to executing the change so that you don't "lock" yourself out from being able to administer the box.
Not sure what registry hack you are referring to?

It's as easy as changing the properties of the server, no hacks necessary. A restart of the SQL instance is required for the change to take effect
All SQL logins will fail to connect after you switch to windows authent only, so make sure that you've checked everything that should be connecting to your server.
