Mark, I checked out the reviews while it sounds an excellent book, I wonder whether it is one step too far for me at this time.

Unfortunately the prerequisite reading is no longer there.

While I am not a complete beginner I don't think I have a solid grasp of the basics.

Reading reviews again I am wondering whether SQL Server Unleashed might be a better choice for me.
