what do you mean db dictionary? if you're looking for a tool to document your db, perhaps, you should check out greg's site...

There are a few 3rd party tools out there, I think FMS has one too. A simple way is to create a diagram that has all your tables. Not perfect, but free!

No I believe sackerdj is referring to the english query dictionary which I haven't looked at yet. Look at dictionary entries in BOL.

ok this is what i used.
EXEC sp_columns_ex sqlserver_name, NULL, db_owner, db_name, NULL
