Job Failure: Overlapped I/O

    Familiar theme: Pkg runs fine within DTS. It's just a standard Server to Server data pump.

    When invoked via Job, following error:

    The process could not be created for step 1 of job 0xC525FE917CFDCB47A47498D44D79B25C (reason: Overlapped I/O operation is in progress).

    This is the first step of the Job. I get same error when running under my security (i.e. right click, start job) or when Job is scheduled (i.e. under SQLAdmin account w SA).

    Any ideas?

    Under what account are you starting the SQL Server Agent Service? You should check, that the login has access to the directory that the DTS package access.

    SORRY SORRY SORRY - this is the same old privilege problem. The SQL Agent user account does not have appropriate access. The error message threw me off.
