Upgrade to SQL 2000 on NT 4.0

  Has anyone ever had any issues upgrading to SQL 2000 from SQL 7.0 on NT 4.0.

  How About running it for few weeks?

  Before we rebuild OS to 2000 there is some time period when I need to run SQL 2000 on NT 4.0

  You should have any problems in the upgrade. But it is always more secure to backup your SQL Server 7 system and user databases before upgrading.

  After upgrading to may need to update the statistics or check performance.

  Also you should check the available service packs for 2000
